The Scientist On Coronavirus

Folks who have been following this story are probably familiar with these various aspects but I want them in one place for possible future reference.
Regarding what seems to be an effort on the part of some members of the media to drum up a bit of hysteria, yeah right.

I've mentioned that one of my doctors has a tropical medicine sub-specialty. His verdict:
Coronavirus is virulent, but not that virulent. It's deadly but not that deadly.
His advice? Stay away from areas with active Ebola and Marburg, in fact all the hemorrhagic fevers; don't smoke, lose five or ten pounds.
He tells everyone to lose 5 or 10 pounds.
He doesn't seem all that impressed with Wuhan coronavirus.

Back to the good doctor: Any time I see him I ask if he's been out of the country in the last 21 days, turnabout is fair play.
And you can't be too careful.
