Still no word from the Vatican on my Friday suggestion they open the palace at Castel Gandolfo to provide solace and succor.
However...they did come back with a counter-offer a couple days later:

That's one family for each of the parish churches within the Vatican walls, St. Peter's and St. Anne's.
However....
Considering the demographics the UNHCR is reporting, I'd like to counter-counter that since the refugees are mainly tough young guys, a lot of them could be temporarily housed in St. Peter's Square.
