China suspends imports of poultry from Tyson plant over COVID-19, customs authority says
China’s customs authority said on Sunday it had suspended imports of poultry products from a plant owned by U.S.-based meat processor Tyson Inc that has been hit by the novel coronavirus.
The General Administration of Customs said on its website it had decided on the suspension after the company confirmed a cluster of coronavirus cases at the plant, which is located in Springdale, Arkansas....MUCH MORE

UPDATE 2-China suspends pork imports from German plant after coronavirus cases
China has suspended pork imports from a plant owned by German meat producer Toennies, a customs document showed on Thursday, a day after the company reported a coronavirus outbreak among workers at the site.
Toennies said on Wednesday it had stopped slaughtering at one of its plants after around 400 workers tested positive for the virus.....MUCH MOREThis follows on the accusations against the farmed salmon processors which has devastated that industry, particularly #2 China supplier Noway and which I'm starting to think is a deliberate attempt to cripple potential competitors/suppliers.

Neal said finding a link to Europe was not surprising, given the global spread of the virus.
“China gave the world this virus and it was always very likely to give it back to them. Finding a strain prevalent in Europe probably reflects people returning to China after travelling to Europe,” he said....
