Aug. 4 (UPI) -- This is expected to be another "outbreak year" for a rare but serious neurologic condition, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warned Tuesday.
The condition, acute flaccid myelitis, or AFM, affects the nervous system, specifically the area of the spinal cord called gray matter. It causes muscles and reflexes to become weak with symptoms that include sudden arm or leg weakness and loss of muscle tone and reflexes, CDC said.....MUCH MORE
