Covid-19 In The U.S.: The Ten Deadliest States

To make an apples-to-apples comparison we use death rate per million population, otherwise the 32,602 killed in New York and the 15,809 dead in New Jersey are literally off the charts.
Also, it's the nine deadliest states plus D.C.

Hmmm...adjusting for population doesn't make New York or New Jersey look any better.
In fact just the opposite.

If they were countries, both states' death rates would rank as the worst in the world, far surpassing #1 San Marino's 1,238 deaths per million and #2 Belgium's 846 deaths per million pop.

And using per capita figures brings the third member of the tri-state area, Connecticut into the spotlight.
