China Knocks Chicago Out Of Top 10 Tallest Buildings

Not sure what this means for the "Skyscraper Index" but it's another hit to Chicago. I blame Rahm.
From Curbed:

China's Tallest Tower Is Complete, Which Is Too Bad For Chicago

China's Shanghai Tower is now complete. In addition to being the tallest building in China and the second tallest building in the world, it also has the world's fastest elevator and a number of sustainable elements, so overall it seems like a win. But the real loser here is Chicago, specifically the Willis Tower, which has now officially been knocked off the list of the ten tallest buildings in the world. Of course, things could always be worse—and they will be. Willis is projected to be knocked out of the top 20 by new skyscrapers in Asia and the Middle East within the next five years.
