Hurricane Watch: Here Comes the Train of Storms

Despite the forecasts of a busier than normal season there has not been a lot of development. Invests (tropical depressions) will form and maybe even get to named (tropical storm) status but that's been about it. Dorian did the Lazarus bit and was raised from the dead a couple times but ended up just petering out.
Now we're approaching  the height of the season and those long haul Cape Verde type storms are coming off the Sahara. There are three visible west of 10° with the most westerly, invest 92L, now crossing the Yucatan Peninsula into the Bay of Campeche , see second map below.

This storm looks like it will split in two with one part going to rain on New Orleans and the other more capable of development part headed for Texas.
