From the European Parliament, February 10, 2022

Question for written answer  E-000608/2022
to the Commission
Rule 138
Joachim Kuhs (ID)

On 12 September 2019 the Wuhan Institute of Virology (funded by European Virus Archives Global) took its entire virus database offline[1]. The renewed publication of this virus database would be an important step towards clarifying the origin of the current ‘corona pandemic’.

  • 1.What is the (written and unwritten) contractual agreement between European Virus Archives Global and the Wuhan Institute of Virology?
  • 2.Can, and will, the Commission disclose all data, included but not limited to electronic internal and external communications (e.g. WhatsApp, email) statics, reports, minutes and notes, between the Wuhan Institute of Virology and European Virus Agency Global?
