It was either this or Milankovitch Cycles* and frankly my head hurts just trying to follow the math of the precession, obliquity and eccentricity, much less add anything original. How Milankovitch figured out the interplay without a supercomputer has to be on the same intellectual plane as Newton (or Leibniz) inventing the calculus so as to have a tool for problem solving.
