On Monday, the Defence Minister of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Salah Al-Din Al-Namroush, threatened to withdraw from the ceasefire agreement signed on 23 October with the Libyan National Army (LNA), under the auspices of the United Nations.
“We warn the UN and the countries supporting peace and dialogue in Libya that we will withdraw from the 5+5 Joint Military Commission (JMC) and also withdraw from the ceasefire if the LNA forces undertake any military action,” Al-Namroush said in a statement.
