Remember "Bill Gross Will Give You the Stink Eye for Talking Too Loud"? He's Gonna Love This

Back in 2010 folks were commenting on PIMCO's silent trading room:
MarketBeat--
...Pimco Chief Executive Mohamed El-Erian:
Both men get to work at 5 a.m. — before the start of trading on Wall Street — and take their seats in the middle of a tightly packed trading floor that overlooks a parking lot.
Gross is surrounded by seven computer screens with two stuffed animals — a bull and bear — sitting on top of them; El-Erian uses four monitors.
The two leaders rarely speak to each other on the floor.
Gross enforces a policy of near silence, sometimes by glaring at offenders who talk too loudly.
“I think Mohamed is respectful of my, sort of, isolation,” said Gross, sitting in the conference room with his blue-and-red printed tie unknotted. “You wouldn’t find me walking around giving high-fives.”
Gross is a pretty interesting guy. He’s a former Navy officer who served on a gunboat during Vietnam....

Today we discover, via DVICE:
Bubble desks keep employees from socializing on the job
French architect and designer Christian Pottgiesser is revolutionizing the modern office. In an effort to increase productivity and inspire employees' creativity, Pottgiesser came up with these clear plexiglass bubble domes that create an individual workspace for each and every person. The idea of actually incorporating bubble desks into various work places and environments might seem far-fetched, but this isn't just a concept: at least one company in France has already adopted the eccentric design and is using it in its offices....MORE, including other offices using the things.
