"Birkin bags will cost even more as Hermes vows to hike prices in US to counter Trump tariffs"

From the New York Post, April 17:

Pricey Birkin bags are about to get more expensive — if you can get your hands on one.

Hermes, the high-end fashion house behind the A-list accessory, plans to hike prices on all its items in the US to counter President Trump’s tariffs, the luxury retailer said Thursday.

The Paris-based company — which manufactures the vast majority of its goods in France — didn’t specify how much it will hike prices but said it will be enough to offset any hit to growth from the Trump tax, according to Eric du Halgouet, Hermes’ executive vice president of finance.

Hermes did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment....

A quick note, despite being too lazy to look it up I'm pretty sure the Walton clan is ahead of the Arnault fam. on the net worth leader board. The branches of the Hermès tribe, the Dumas, Guerrand and Puech families are up there as well.
