Is this one of them leading indicators?
From Forbes via MSN. May 10:
Shares of Airbnb crashed Wednesday after the property rental giant projected the busy summer travel season may not be such a boon for its business this year, knocking out billions of dollars from the fortunes of their top executives as the San Francisco-based travel firm loses its luster among investors....
....MUCH MORE
The stock is down $12.13 (-9.54%) at $114.95
Perhaps people have gotten the pent-up travel itch scratched. I know that speaking personally I was looking at one of Cunard's round-the-world tours; with the maiden voyage of their new boat, the Queen Anne* in 2024 the big C is promoting the other four queens as well.
But they still have the prohibition against crossbows.
Decisions, decisions. The ships fill from the top down so you don't want to wait too long but if the price is right one might forsake the silent self-defense against...uhhh...pirates, yeah pirates, that's it.
*The lady who will be driving the $600 million piece of machinery seems pretty fired up but ever since that incident with the Vasa (much less the Titanic) maiden voyages have a bad connotation rattling around in my head.
Here's a 2015 post:
Three Queens In Liverpool: Cunard's Big Gals Dancing On The Mersey
I know the first part of the headline sounds like a RuPaul event but it's actually the Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and the Queen Elizabeth getting together in Cunard's former headquarters city over the Bank Holiday weekend.
