Former Canadian Defense Minister on Space Aliens, Global Warming, and Energy

What with all the recent hubbub about UFO's:
Daily Beast:
THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE
Luis Elizondo, Former Director of the Pentagon’s Aerospace ID Program, Says Some UFOs Still ‘Defy Explanation’
KGUN TV, Tucson
New History Channel show exposes new evidence on UFO's
Fox News:
Luis Elizondo: Why is the government finally admitting UFOs are real, and why should we pay attention?
The Intercept:
The Media Loves This UFO Expert Who Says He Worked for an Obscure Pentagon Program. Did He?
And the spoilsports at Space.com:
UFOs Are Real, But Don't Assume They're Alien Spaceships
I was reminded of this, from 2007: UFO science key to halting climate change: former Canadian defense minister
"A former Canadian defense minister is demanding governments worldwide disclose and use secret alien technologies obtained in alleged UFO crashes to stem climate change, a local paper said Wednesday."
Just a small part  of  "New Report Challenges Basic Assumptions of 'Climate Change'"

That short post hits on all the high points: a software engineer in Derbyshire, my experience with black helicopters, the sentencing of cannibal Alferd Packer (after whom the restaurant at the University of Colorado-Boulder student center was named) and the fastest road-race in the U.S., plus some other stuff.
All in 315 words.

Anyhoo, I was thinking about the former Canadian defense minister while eating a pastry and looking at all the UFO talk.

One final note on Alferd:
In 1993 Trey Parker and Matt Stone, while studying at UC-Boulder, wrote and produced "Cannibal, The Musical".

They subsequently created South Park, a series about a little town in Colorado.
