"Qualcomm's Crazy CES 2013 Keynote In Animated GIFs" (short QCOM)

QCOM $64.88+0.97

From Forbes' Data Driven column:
CES 2013 will be remembered for many reasons: announcements, technology, relationships, rumors, Vegas stuff. However, there is only one thing I can assure you will never be forgotten — the keynote address. I’m here to immortalize the festival of crazy in GIFs.

The question: Was this the most insane CES Keynote ever?

The Answer:

Here are some of the highlights.

Qualcomm apparently thought it would be super hip to have some actors pretend to be awesome “Generation M” (another generation name, really?!) Millennials to show us how mobile their lives are. Above is pictured the “popular girl” archetype. Phones make her more popular.

This next guy is supposed to be the “hacker/gamer” character. He told us about how hot his girlfriend is going to be, because of technology or something…

He also shot a lazor.

The third guy was a young “tech/social media/entrepreneur” type. He was the most boring. Well, at least they got that part right. (Kidding tech guys, I love you and your enthusiasm and your nice hair cuts.) He told us to imagine “funny cat videos meets Gangnam Style.” I tried to imagine how nice my life was before I started watching this keynote.

The festivities were just getting started with our Millennial Dream Team. Here comes the surprise guest, Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer!

What an entrance!
