Apple Uncertain On Timing Of Adoption Of New iPhone Accounting Standard (AAPL) Off-topic

Apple (AAPL) CFO Peter Oppenheimer told investors on its FY Q4 conference call that the company is uncertain about when it will adopt the recently changed FASB accounting standard that will allow the company to stop the current practice of deferring most revenue from the iPhone and AppleTV over a 24-month period.

Meanwhile, Oppenheimer said the company in the September period had its most profitable quarter ever, with more Macs and iPhones in any previous quarter. It was the second-highest revenue quarter in the company’s history...MORE
