Oil Prices Head for Second Weekly Gain as U.S. Pressure on Iran Intensifies
Oil prices are heading for a second consecutive weekly gain as renewed U.S. pressure on Iran and continued disruptions to Middle East crude flows keep supply concerns at the center of the market. WTI was trading near $86.90/bbl Friday morning and is up roughly 5.3% for the week. Brent was trading near $93.98/bbl, up more than 6% week over week. Prices pulled back from earlier gains Friday after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said it would be better to end the war now, introducing the possibility of de-escalation after a week dominated by tighter supply concerns....
