The generally circumspect company posted a neat video yesterday – Step Inside the Google Quantum Quantum AI Lab – showing the steps it goes through in building a quantum computer. The visuals are great as is the information, if not overly technical.
Packaging is the dominant theme. During one section the presenter walks you through the various levels of the dilution refrigerator – the ubiquitous chandelier apparatus necessary to product the frigid temperatures required for proper qubit functioning. Another presented shows the dizzying labyrinth of wiring needed to deliver and receive signals from qubits....
