It is with deep regret that Deliveroo is taking the difficult decision to end our operations in Australia. This has not been an easy decision to make - we have carefully considered all options and we do not take the decision lightly.
At Deliveroo we’re on a mission to create the very best food delivery service in the world - for our customers, our restaurant partners and you, our riders. Over the last six years we have worked hard to achieve this in Australia, and we truly value everything you have done so far to help get us to where we are.
However, where we cannot fulfil this mission to the levels we expect and to provide you the experience you deserve, we won’t operate. In Australia, we have concluded that achieving a sustainable position of leadership in the market is not possible without a disproportionate level of investment which would have highly uncertain returns.
Regrettably, therefore, Deliveroo Australia will not be accepting orders from this point onwards and operations will be ceasing imminently.
