Equity Markets: "Sorry hippy, this ain't Woodstock, this is Altamont"

"Sorry hippy, this ain't Woodstock, this is Altamont"
-that's me, trying to imitate a BlackRock honcho channeling Bowie's
"This ain't rock and roll, this is genocide" but with less reverb.

Last seen in December 2015's Green Nasties at Abengoa: "How BlackRock Made a Killing From Spain’s Biggest Ever Corporate Meltdown".

That line came to mind watching the joy and celebration in the DJIA futures up 500 points (1.7%) and the Russell 2000 (small cap) index futures up 2.29%.

And from Abengoa, August 18, 2020:

As Ray Bradbury put it:

Something Wicked This Way Comes

More on wicked later in the week, or maybe next.  I've got that feeling again.
Well that and some really, really fast computers.
Or as Disney put it in their lobby card pitch for the movie:

On a grim and gusty October day, two young boys encounter a distressed man who foretells of danger blowing their way. Soon after, the town is visited by a seductive stranger named Mr. Dark and his Pandemonium Carnival.
