Texas "Railroad Commission postpones decision on oil cuts"

The Railroad Commission of Texas delayed a vote Tuesday on a controversial measure to mandate oil production cuts, with two of the three commissioners saying they wanted input from the state's attorney general.

Commissioners Christi Craddick and Railroad Commission Chairman Wayne Christian delayed the decision on Parsley Energy Inc. and Pioneer Natural Resources Co.'s request that the Commission mandate production limits — known as proration. 

Commissioner Ryan Sitton was ready to vote.
