"Coronavirus: Whole of Italy put on lockdown"

Italy’s Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has announced he will extend the restriction zone to cover the entire country.

It comes after the government placed 16m citizens under quarantine in the north of the country over the weekend.

Italy is the worst affected country in Europe with more than 9,000 confirmed cases and 463 deaths.
