"Democrats block McConnell from holding Monday morning vote on coronavirus bill"

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) blocked Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-Ky.) attempt to set up a Monday morning vote on the stimulus package, effectively delaying the vote until the afternoon.

McConnell had vowed earlier Sunday that he would force a second procedural vote related to the stimulus package at 9:45 a.m., 15 minutes after the markets open.

But when McConnell tried to lock in that time, Schumer objected, denying the GOP leader the consent he needed to enact his plan....MORE

For folks who are new to this stuff the source, Politico, leans about as far to the left as their competitor The Hill, leans to the right.
But you can't tell that in this piece, through the writers' obvious exasperation with today's politics.
And:
"TARP Failure Monday? With Hours To Go Until Futures Open, McConnell Delays Stimulus Vote"
And Madame Speaker wants a few changes or "non-starter."
This is exactly what I was referring to with the introduction to a March 9 post:

On September 29, 2008 the politicians got involved (or rather, didn't get involved) and responded to  the proposal from Treasury Secretary Paulson that he become Czar of all he looked upon, to which the Congress replied "Ummmm, no" The DJIA dropped a then-record 777 points, and the markets didn't reach bottom until the second week of March 2009....
How the hell am I expected to execute the plan for world domination with this crap going on?
