"An 1887 painting of Montmartre in Paris by Vincent Van Gogh is appearing on the market for the first time"

My first thought was "That's not Montmartre".

Then, "Oh" Things change.

Via The Art Newspaper's Twitter feed:

If you find yourself spending more of your precious life's hours on the internet than you did in the before-time I highly recommend visiting Christie's and Sotheby's

Not so much for the art, which seems very nice but because the ads that follow you around the web will be a cut above those of other product purveyors.

Maybe Bonham's too, but in terms of karma, their San Francisco outpost installed sprinklers to soak the homeless on the sidewalk.

Although there's maybe a soak the rich joke in there if you think about it.
