The third time was finally the charm as the Falcon 9 blasted off precisely on time at 5:41 p.m. EST from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral following a pair of launch scrubs last week on November 25th and Thanksgiving Day, November 28th, caused by technical problems with the first stage engine.
