Vestas establishes new research centre in Texas

Vestas Wind Systems AS said it will open a new research centre in Houston, Texas.

'The Houston-based centre will further consolidate Vestas' presence in one of its main markets and will strengthen the existing R&D organisation which includes research centres in Asia and Europe,' the wind turbine maker said.

The research centre will open in 2009 and is expected to employ at least 100 people when fully operational in 2010....MORE
