Burma to be Vice President for 63rd UN General Assembly

The U.N. last year voted Zimbabwe in as head of the Comission on Sustainable Development.

The UN General Assembly on Wednesday elected Burma to serve as one of five vice presidents for Asia during the 63rd session beginning on September 16.

In all, 21 vice presidents were elected by the General Assembly during a special meeting which also elected Miguel d'Escoto Brockmann of Nicaragua as the president of the 63rd session....
