Speculated incentives cut may spur solar-power system demand in Germany

With speculation about a cut in solar power tax credits in Germany in 2009, industry players from Taiwan project demand will be spurred accordingly as consumers may try to install systems prior to any policy change.

During the recent solar trade show in Munich, Germany, sources at some participants cited speculation from industry players in saying that Germany may see a sharp cut in tax incentives next year. The German government originally planned to reduce incentives by 5% each year, but the cut in rates may be enlarged to 9-10% next year, the sources noted....MORE
