Hot weather 'increases suicide risk'

Ya gotta love online ads. Here are the first few the algorithms thought relevant.
- Search: UK suicide rate
- Check the weather forecast
- Book a UK break

Here's the story from AOL UK:
Hot weather increases the risk of suicide, psychiatrists warn - as the British summer finally begins.

Scientists who studied more than 50,000 suicides in England and Wales between 1993 and 2003 found that once the average daily temperature creeps above 18C there is a noticeable rise in the number of people taking their own lives....

There was no immediate response from the Optimum Population Trust, who in May had put out this Press Release:

COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE WITH FEWER BABIES
A radical form of “offsetting” carbon dioxide emissions to prevent climate change is proposed today – having fewer children.

The OPT also refers to humans as "climate changers":
"...by allowing the number of climate changers to rise by more than 300,000 people a year, the government's population policy has undermined most of its environmental goals."

In Pakistan one Islamabad researcher said everything was the North's fault but, if population was the problem, it was India's.

"Population growth impact is likely to be incremental and the country that will contribute substantively to it will be India, with its large and growing population and surging economic growth."
