Elon Musk said xAI (X.AI) plans to develop a 500-megawatt data center in Saudi Arabia with the kingdom’s state-backed AI venture Humain that will rely on chips from Nvidia (NVDA).
Musk announced the plans alongside Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang at a U.S.-Saudi investment forum in Washington. The two spoke ahead of addresses at the event from U.S. President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Nvidia also plans to build supercomputers with Saudi Arabia.
The company noted that AI is in an infrastructure and is revolutionizing every industry. Humanoid robots will be the biggest product ever, and in 10 to 20 years "work will be optional" because of AI.
Nvidia and xAI did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Seeking Alpha.
Separately, AMD (AMD) Cisco (CSCO) and Humain announced a new joint venture to deliver up to 1 GW of AI infrastructure by 2030, starting with a first phase 100 MW deployment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to power the global AI ecosystem with cost-efficient, high-performance infrastructure....
