Armed Group Steals At Least 240 Tons Of Gold, Silver And Other Minerals In Zacatecas
An undetermined group of criminals subdued eight people, six drivers and two security guards to flee in an unknown direction with six gondolas loaded with gold, silver, zinc and lead concentrates, each weighing approximately 40 tons, on federal highway 54, near the community of San Tiburcio, Zacatecas.
The attackers attacked the drivers and two private security agents who were guarding the convoy.
They then unhooked the trucks' gondolas and presumably transferred them to other tractor-trailers, with which they fled in the direction of the port of Manzanillo, Colima....
