Meanwhile, In Canada....

From The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (state-sponsored/funded media), January 23, 2017:

Medically assisted deaths could save millions in health care spending: Report

....MUCH MORE

It's called the Cuomo Calculation. Early on in the coronavirus pandemic, when Governor Cuomo was diligently going about his homicidal effort to move covid-19 victims into nursing homes, there to infect the most vulnerable population in the state, we did the math. A year later we did a post...(there's always a post):

U.K. “Do Not Resuscitate” Orders For COVID-19 Patients With “Learning Disabilities”
Huh.
Taking a page from Emmy Award-winning Governor Cuomo's book and getting rid of folks you don't want to pay for.I haven't seen the math on how much the state of New York is saving on Medicaid nursing home costs but an off-the-cuff guess would be $300 - 350/day in Queens, so a billion, billion-five per year for the 13,000 dead nursing home residents they are now 'fessin' up to....

The thing about the Canadian plan that really stands out is how inclusive it is.

ICYMI: Canada Expanded The Criteria For Euthanasia To Include Those Suffering Soley From Mental Illness....

....That expanded access also applies to people too poor to live with dignity.

There was an infamous case a few years ago. Via ABCNews10, Sacramento:

Alan Nichols had a history of depression and other medical issues, but none were life-threatening. When the 61-year-old Canadian was hospitalized in June 2019 over fears he might be suicidal, he asked his brother to “bust him out” as soon as possible.

Within a month, Nichols submitted a request to be euthanized and he was killed, despite concerns raised by his family and a nurse practitioner.

His application for euthanasia listed only one health condition as the reason for his request to die: hearing loss....

The latest expansion will be to to "mature minors", planned for a big kick off next year.
