Japan Donates Solar Systems, Medical Supplies To Keep Lebanese Hospitals Operating (e.g. out of anesthesia)

From Sawt Beirut International, April 18:

Minister Abiad to receive tomorrow solar energy systems, medical supplies donated by Japan

Minister of Public Health, Dr. Firass Abiad, is scheduled to receive solar energy systems, medical supplies for intensive care, and a system for sterilizing government hospitals, donated by Japan.

The equipment will be delivered to “Baabda Governmental University Hospital” at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, in the presence of Japanese Ambassador to Lebanon, Okubo Takeshi, and the Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services in the Regional Center in Jordan, Mohammad Othman Akram.

This donation is part of the “Urgent Support to Critical Health Facilities in Lebanon” Project, funded by the Japanese government, which was successfully completed through the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS)....
