Lights go off at Philips Electronics (PHG)

I, of course, am reminded of the quote attributed to Viscount Grey on the eve of World War I:
"The lamps are going out all over Europe. We shall not see them lit again in our time"
[of course -ed]

Back in the day I always felt compelled to add "the Dutch electronics giant" to "Philips Electronics".
