American Superconductor Up on Renewable Energy Deal (AMSC)

The last time we visited AMSC was "In the wind-power biz, beware giving some stocks a whirl (ZOLT, AMSC)". In self defense the title was from the LA Times' Money & Co. blog and it turns out he was dead wrong. We probably won't be linking to them very much.
(Which is most likely what he's saying about us if he came late to the Trina party, down 10% today, ouch)
From Barron's Tech Trader Daily:

Shares of American Superconductor (AMSC), which makes cabling and other high-temperature superconductor-based parts used in wind power installations, is up $7, or 19.6%, at $43.17, today after announcing a $450 million deal to supply China’s Sinovel Wind Corp. wind turbine company.

In a note to clients, Needham & Co. analyst James Ricchiuti writes that the deal adds to AmSuper’s “already formidable” backlog of $200 million in orders as of the end of March. The deal was much larger than expected, Ricchiuti observes, but with the stock now trading at 7 times enterprise value as a multiple of projected sales, he maintains a “Hold” rating on the stock....MORE
