Russian Exile Journalists: "The Barents Observer is Hiring..."

From The Barents Observer, April 20:

Our free, independent and journalist-owned newspaper is looking for a brave journalist to strengthen our Norwegian-Russian team of reporters in Kirkenes, Norway.

About us

The Barents Observer is an independent online newspaper that covers developments in the Arctic, Russia and the Nordic region. Since 2002, we have made cross-border stories from the top of the world available in English and Russian to readers across the world. Along the way, we have fought repressive and anti-democratic forces that seek to curb free speech, and defended our right to engage in free, independent and fact-based journalism. We continue to oppose rigid censorship and media crackdown sustained by the regime in Moscow.

Following Russia’s full-scale war on Ukraine, the Barents Observer started to a build a newsroom of independent Russian journalists in exile. We are now looking for a fourth exile reporter to our team.

The Barents Observer is a small company with five employees.

About you...

....MUCH MORE

Probably a different style of journalism than that practiced by Ames and Taibbi at the eXile. back in the day.

Here's one of the pieces, this by Alexander Zaitchik, that they published:

Carbon Markets: "The Bored Whore of Kyoto"

And good luck to the Observer, we like, we link. (a lot)

I wonder if Taibbi's ever been to Kirkenes?
