The legendary Beverly House mansion has officially hit the market for $135 million. Originally owned by publishing magnate William Randolph Hearst, the home was featured in iconic scenes from The Godfather and The Bodyguard, and was the home where JFK and Jackie Kennedy spent their honeymoon. It also became the West Coast presidential election headquarters for JFK’s presidential campaign in the '60s.
Designed by acclaimed architect Gordon Kaufmann in 1927, the estate features H-form architecture, complete with expansive balconies, long colonnades, and arched floor-to-ceiling windows. The home is overflowing with luxury amenities, and includes 19 bedrooms, 29 bathrooms, and an Olympic-sized swimming pool. The property, which TopTenRealEstateDeals.com called a “quintessential emblem of Hollywood’s Golden Era,” is set on its own promontory and is located only three blocks away from Sunset Boulevard and The Beverly Hills Hotel. Jade Mills of Coldwell Banker in Beverly Hills has the listing.
