"China plans fleet of mobile offshore fish farms"

Apparently yesterday's "Norwegian Accrediting Behemoth DNV GL Grants Approval-in-Principal for 25,000 TEU LNG-Powered Container Ship (New Record If Built)" wasn't the only big announcement to come out of Marintec.
A quick hit from The Fish Site:
Plans to build 300 mobile offshore aquaculture facilities that are each able to produce 20,000 tonnes of fish were announced at Marintec China last week.
China’s Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering Design and Research Institute in Shanghai is leading the planning of these mobile farms and is preparing to tackle key development difficulties.

Meaning beyond the loss of 900,000 kilos of tuna you won't have the potential ecological disaster of having farmed fish mixing with wild and the cross-contamination that can ensue.
