Bitcoin to $1,000,000: John McAfee and The Dickening

In July 2017 John McAfee forecast Bitcoin would be valued at 500,000 USD within three years or he would eat his private bits. On November 29, 2017 as Bitcoin was approaching its all-time high Mr. McAfee raised the forecast to One Million USD by year-end 2020 with the stakes remaining at, well, you know.

When I predicted Bitcoin at $500,000 by the end of 2020, it used a model that predicted $5,000 at the end of 2017. BTC has accelerated much faster than my model assumptions. I now predict Bircoin at $1 million by the end of 2020. I will still eat my dick if wrong. pic.twitter.com/WVx3E71nyD

There are a few sites devoted to counting down the seconds to the $1million target (or, you know, the other thing) including this one from whom we purloined the term "The Dickening".
