President Barack Obama on Tuesday announced the nomination of Ignacia Moreno to head the Justice Department’s Environment and Natural Resources Division.
Moreno, who is counsel to the Corporate Environmental Programs at General Electric Co. and works pro bono as general counsel to the Hispanic National Bar Association, is a veteran of the Justice Department under President Bill Clinton. She was special assistant and then principal counsel to the assistant attorney general for ENRD, assisting in the management of the division, leading several environmental enforcement initiatives, expanding and managing the division’s international program, and representing the United States in international negotiations and litigation, according to the White House announcement....MORE
