No U.S. climate law under Bush: key Senator

No U.S. law curbing climate-warming emissions is likely until President George W. Bush leaves office in 2009, Sen. Jeff Bingaman, Democratic chairman of the powerful energy committee, said on Tuesday.

Major climate change legislation "is less likely than not" with Bush as president "given the position that he's taken in opposition to any mandatory limits on greenhouse gases," Bingaman told the Reuters Environment Summit in Washington
