The glitzy, Sun King-inspired Manhattan penthouse that was Joan Rivers’ East Coast home reached the open market recently. The ornate triplex property — actually more of a ‘duplex with guest level’ — is located in the Lenox Hill neighborhood.
The building was designed by early 20th-century starchitect and New York society darling Horace Trumbauer, who believed absolutely that dreams are just mansions that haven’t yet been built. Anyway, his houses suggest as much....
