You may have noticed that Curbed now publishes longform and narrative stories from freelance writers and photographers, and we're looking for additional contributors. We're looking for stories that dig deep on the topics closest to our heart—architecture and design, real estate, and neighborhoods—while also maintaining Curbed's voice. Interested in pitching? What we're looking for:
We're seeking stories that run long and are thoughtfully reported. The best way to get a sense of Curbed features is to look at some of our favorite past stories. Those include (but are not limited to): a story on the quest to preserve LA's century-old Batchelder tiles, a piece on the past and future of Chicago's troubled Spire project, a profile of architecture firm SHoP, and a piece about the controversial origins of New York City's Frick Collection. And yes, Curbed is a paying market!
