Just an oddity. From the WSJ's Washington Wire:
Little has been heard from Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich since federal agents arrested him and a senior aide on corruption charges last week.
But in recent days, dozens of governors and others interested in alternative energy issues have been receiving a letter the governor sent before he was roused from his home by federal agents last week. The Dec. 3 letter is an invitation to participate in February’s meeting of the Governors’ Biofuels Coalition, of which Blagojevich is chairman.
The coalition, until recently known as the Governors’ Ethanol Coalition, advocates development of ethanol, biodiesel and other energy products. It includes the governors and representatives from three dozen U.S. states; Quebec, Canada; Queensland, Australia, and other places.
The letter, signed by Blagojevich and North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven, vice chairman of the coalition, invites participants to help the coalition prepare “recommendations to be delivered to the new Administration and the new Congress that sets forth our states’ detailed vision for the nation’s biofuels development.”>>>MORE
