Miss Atom-2011 beauty contest marked the end
On June 10, 2011 at 17H00M MSK the 8th International Internet-based Beauty Contest Miss Atom-2011 marked the end. The contest organized by Nuclear.Ru engaged 263 girls from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. After a check-up of gained points the Contest Scoring Commission approved results as follows:Over the years some have tried to denigrate the contest, saying it was a farce or didn't uphold the highest scientific standards:
1-st place: Marina Kiriy (Bilibino NPP, Bilibino). Prize – tour to Brazil;
2-nd place: Victoriya Guseva (Balakovo NPP, Balakovo). Prize – tour to Vietnam;
3-rd place: Yelena Alieva (Kola NPP, Polyarniye Zori), Tatiana Ladyka (Chernobyl NPP, Slavutich). Prize – tour to Turkey.
In addition, companies who supported the contest as well as companies and organizations of Russia’s nuclear industry provided special prizes to Miss Atom-2011 pageants. Prize by Nuclear.Ru (“The Best Debut”) – a tablet computer – will go to Anna Trapeznikova (Instrumentation Plant, Trekhgorny).
The traditional prize by Atompromresursy Group of Companies (“The Most Striking Picture” – a digital camera – will be given to Ksenia Greshnyakova (M.V. Protsenko PA Start, Zarechny), Anna Kirsanova (NIKIRET – Branch of M.V. Protsenko PA Start, Zarechny), and Daria Gavrilova (Atommashexport, Volgodonsk).
The prize by the Russian Union of Nuclear Power and Industry Workers – a digital camera – will be given to Elvira Kuznetsova (RFNC VNIIEF, Sarov). Lastly, the special prize by the Contest Scoring Commission – a tablet computer – will go to Polina Sannikova (FRNC-VNIITF, Snezhinsk)....MORE
