Well the reprieve in the tropics lasted less than half a day as the Atlantic season's ninth named storm -- Tropical Storm Igor -- has developed off the coast of Africa.
The storm should move due west, or just north of west for the next four or five days. It should become a hurricane by Thursday or Friday as wind shear over the system should diminish and waters are very, very warm.
